SACRED HEARTH
POSTPARTUM DOULA TRAINING
For generations, women were cared for in the weeks following birth by family, community, and experienced caregivers. This training is an invitation to carry that tradition forward.
The postpartum period is one of the most sacred and transformative seasons in a family's life, yet many mothers move through it without the support, nourishment, and care they deserve.
The Sacred Hearth Postpartum Doula Training was created to help bring traditional postpartum care back into our community. This immersive 3-day training blends practical postpartum doula skills with Ayurvedic wisdom, nourishment, hands-on care practices, and a deep respect for the postpartum journey.
Together we will explore how to support mothers through the first weeks after birth with warmth, presence, and confidence. Topics include postpartum nutrition, herbal support, Abhyanga massage, belly binding, newborn care, emotional support, and creating a nurturing environment for healing and recovery.
Whether you are new to birth work or looking to deepen your existing practice, this training will provide practical tools, hands-on experience, and a foundation for supporting families during one of the most important transitions of their lives.
My hope is that this training helps cultivate a new generation of postpartum caregivers who understand that caring for a mother is caring for the whole family.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Hi, I'm Michaela Tomko, founder of Sacred Hearth Postpartum Doula Care.
I am a postpartum doula, bodyworker, and mother with a deep passion for supporting women during the transition into motherhood. Through my work with families, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact that nourishment, rest, traditional care practices, and community support can have during the postpartum period.
My own journey into motherhood transformed the way I view care, healing, and community. As the mother of a 9-year-old son, I understand firsthand how deeply the postpartum experience can shape a mother's wellbeing long after birth.
My approach to postpartum care blends practical support with traditional wisdom. Drawing from my training in Ayurvedic postpartum care, Abhyanga massage, belly binding, herbal support, and postpartum nourishment, I strive to help mothers feel seen, supported, and deeply cared for during the weeks following birth.
The Sacred Hearth Postpartum Doula Training was created from a desire to help restore the tradition of caring for mothers. My hope is that participants leave this training with practical skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of what families truly need during this sacred season of life.
When we care for mothers, we care for future generations.
